Mall Rivals Wiki — Stores, Employees & Mechanics

Mall Rivals wiki

A quick-reference wiki for Mall Rivals: store types, employees, the board room, ShameTV, and the core mechanics that shape every match.

Mall Rivals is a 1-8 player mall tycoon. Core systems: stores, employees, the board room (policies), ShameTV (public shame), and police (since 1.0).

Stores and Inventory

Every player runs one store in the shared mall. You choose the store type, decorate it, stock shelves and set prices.

Inventory comes from wholesalers and vendors. The Aug 22 hotfix made bought items stack neatly on the floor instead of spreading into walls and benches.

Expand your store to fit more stock — expansion was added in The Comeback Update and improved in 1.0.

Employees

Hire employees to automate your store. Cashiers serve customers, stockers refill shelves, and other roles keep your business running while you manage the bigger picture.

Employee wages eat into profits, so hire them when revenue covers the cost.

The Board Room and ShameTV

The board room is where mall-wide rules get made. Propose a policy and vote with other players — smart proposals give you the edge, chaotic ones hurt everyone.

Break the rules and get caught? Your face goes on ShameTV. In 1.0, police add real consequences to sabotage and theft.

FAQ

What store types are in Mall Rivals?

The base game has several store types; the 1.0 update added four more including Pharmacy and Home Goods. You pick one at the start of each match.

What does the board room do?

Players propose policies and vote. Passed policies change mall rules — they can give you an edge or mess things up for everyone.

How does ShameTV work?

If you get caught breaking rules, your face is broadcast on ShameTV to the whole mall — public humiliation that also marks you as a troublemaker.

Is there a real police force in Mall Rivals?

Yes, since the 1.0 update — a police force chases down players who break the rules. Sabotage now has real consequences.
